Juniper Village Celebrates "The Little Ones"

It was a warm Saturday afternoon when Santa arrived "Florida" style on his "Red Harley" to visit the little ones at Juniper Village in Cape Coral. The room decorated with Holiday cheer was filled with joy from our young visitors anxiously awaiting the arrival of Santa. Our residents and team members were so proud to share their youngest family members with everyone. They sang in unison "Here Comes Santa Claus" as he entered the room with a hearty Ho Ho Ho! Stories were read and presents were handed out as the children scrambled to sit on Santa's lap. Festive music played as families shared the glory of the season together. The day ended with the little ones smiling and waving as Santa rode off on his Harley, giving his reindeers a chance to rest for the "BIG" day. We continue to Nurture The Spirit of Life here at
Juniper Village in Cape Coral in wishing everyone a Happy Healthy
Holiday!

Festival of Wreaths

Juniper Village Celebrates the "Festival of Wreaths".  The residents of Juniper Village proudly participated in Cape Coral’s "Festival of Wreaths and Decorations" event on December 5th. The residents shared holiday memories and crafting ideas as they created beautiful holiday wreaths to display and sell at the Annual Yacht Club Sunset Celebration. A vast array of wreaths and decorations were available for purchase by the public, all proceeds benefiting the Guardian Angels for Special Populations & the Tony Rotino Senior Center. Our residents know by Celebrating the Little Things, we are not only Nurturing the Spirit of Life here at Juniper Village but throughout our community as well. Happy Holidays to All!

The Witches Of Juniper Village Show Their True Colors!

As we welcome October, what better way to celebrate autumn and the upcoming holidays than with a Black Hatters Witches Tea Party! The
room was decorated hauntingly beautiful and the tables displayed ghostly treats and Halloween goodies amongst the fine chine teacups and saucers. Embracing the spirit, all the ladies adorned witches hats and cackling giggles as they shared stories of Halloween and favorite costume memories. After enjoying assorted tea sandwiches and desserts served with speciality teas, everyone quieted down and listened to "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" read by Ginny Yates. A spooktacular time was had by all, as we continue to show our true colors celebrating fall, families and friendships!

In The Good Old Summer Time

What better way to celebrate the summer than a good old fashion picnic. Everyone got together to plan the menu. Hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill it is!!!!! With careful packing, everything
and everyone was loaded and on the bus ready to go. The tables were set with red and white checkered tablecloths which made it even more
festive. The smell of the food cooking on the grill brought back wonderful memories of past picnics and family gatherings. A dip in the water was on the "TO DO" list for one of our ladies along with the
family. The final topping, of course, were the homemade cupcakes, "Finger Licking Good" was every ones comment. It was time to pack it up and finally head back home. This truly was The Good Old Summer Time.

A Paddle Boat Ride On The Indian Princess

Sunblock (check) Sunglasses (check) Comfortable Shoes (check). Everyone was excited and looking forward to our trip on the Indian Princess. The Indian Princess is an authentic replica of the original
American steamships. A step back in time as we traveled the back bays of Fort Myers Beach was promised by our tour guide. The weather was
just as perfect as the company we had. A few of the residents decided to be adventurous and go up on the second deck. Watching other boats go by and people fishing was one of many conversations taking place. And yes, as promised by our tour guide "Dolphins were swimming alongside of our Ship". Our captain kept us entertained as he shared the many land sights and stories of this great river. We certainly will share these memories with our families and friends. Who knows, maybe next time they will join us for an adventure out to the river.

It's All About The Ride

Mother Nature was very gracious to Juniper Village this year. Prayers were in everyone's thoughts hoping that the weather would be in our favor for our 2nd Annual Classic Car Show. Our prayers were answered!!! The hot rods, the classics and the antique cars made their way in with no troubles. Our residents cheered them on and were anxious to start the tour. Everyone had a story to share of the days when they owned one of these classic cars. It was time for the vote but decisions were not easy to make. "They are all winners" our residents thought. This event would have not been possible without the wonderful and caring people from the "Hot Chili Rods" car club.
They truly knew how to Nurture The Spirit of many lives at Juniper Village.

Food From Around The World

Our second annual "Food From Around The World" was once again a success. Stephanie and Stacy from Senior Home Care proudly displayed their Hawaiian table with "Aloha Spirits". Pulled pork on a Hawaiian bun topped with a pineapple bit was a great success with our residents. Of
course, the pina coladas were worth the wait in line. Jeff from Advanced Diabetic scooped up healthy servings of his Chinese food to everyone along with a fortune cookie. Hilda from Infinity Homecare added a little spice when she brought along the festive music from Mexico to go along with the homemade tortilla shells and salsa. Denise added the German touch with her flag. No-one refused a serving of her apple strudel. As the event came to a close, everyone was debating whether or not they were going to come down for the evening meal! We are already counting down until next year when this event comes back around.
